Manufacturing Day Recap
Recently, we at MK Precision opened our doors to the public and hosted Manufacturing Day on October 3, 2014 where we allowed visitors to tour our facility to see exactly what we do. During the special event, we had our industry experts give ‘day in the life’ experiences to all those who attended. Overall, we were very pleased with the turn out because we hosted over 80 individuals at our facility!
Many of our participants learned about our state-of-the-art machining centers and how we use them to create precise and reliable medical devices. Alongside medical device manufacturing, we also produce products for other industries which we showcased during the event by displaying a racecar we supply parts for. We currently sponsor the Villanova SAE race team and having their car out was a big crowd pleaser. Students from four different high school groups enjoyed the racer and were able to understand our versatility as a manufacturer.
We were excited to have technical representatives from Bucks County Community College and Montgomery County College because it furthers our reach to find interested students looking for career opportunities after college. Support from the office of Congressman Mike Fitzpatrick was greatly appreciated as a representative was in attendance. While the event took place, a reporter covered the event from the Bucks County Courier Times, giving the public access to the events.
We hosted Manufacturing Day because we wanted to raise awareness of the important job we do that helps industries nationwide with a global reach. The idea of the event stemmed support from a group of industry sponsors and co-producers who help strengthen the voice of individual manufactures like MK Precision. We wanted to connect with future generations in order to continue the prosperity of the manufacturing industry where hard work, diligence and passion all meet under one roof. We hope those who attended enjoyed their experience and we look forward to hosting future Manufacturing Day events!
